The lyrics to this song can be a bit confusing but after looking for a "story behind the lyrics" from the band members themselves it becomes a lot more clear. The song is about adult anger compared to teenage anger, as an adult that rage is more contained behind a courteous smile as opposed to teen anger which is explosive and in your face. A lot of Fall All Out Boy's songs always have a tinge of anger in them in this one is not the exception, it is an explosive and powerful song.

The reason I currently love this song so much is because of its upbeat rhythm, the amazing vocal range that the lead singer has in it and the great musical ability of the band members as a whole. I used to like Fall out Boy but was never a huge fan of them and after a four year hiatus they came back strong and made me a fan with their hit after hit CD. The best words to describe this song is an angry, powerful song that just makes you want to jump and scream to its beat. P.S. It is an amazing song (and disk) for road trips.

The lyrics of this song are actually not bad and it has a message that I know many people have related to and because of that it was a big hit, even being presented in the VMA's. The song is mainly about gay rights, avoiding hate and stereotypes, accepting yourself for who you are and that love is love no matter what. 
The reason I seriously hate this song if you can even call it that is that it is not even musical. Its them talking with a piano playing in the background which I found really annoying. I think there really just wasn't much to the song other than someone ranting about gay rights and although the topic is important, musically it was unnecessary. Also on a personal level I didn't like them attacking religious people over and over. I know many conservatives are against homosexuality but that doesn't mean that all religious people are the same and just like the people that they are defending (gays) don't like to be labelled and judged against, I don't think they should retaliate and judge others.
