All About Me
Greetings to all that read me! I’m Selena Marie, born in 1992 now a fourth year undergraduate studying Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus.
To begin… My goal in life is to check off every item on my “Bucket List” which includes big things such as becoming an MD, someday be a mom, travel to Greece etc. and other more simple ones like watching a play on Broadway, read a classic tale, learn to program and write a functional script, learn sign language, read the Bible cover to cover, throw a drink in someone’s face, have a mud fight, food fight or snowball fight and many others. That being said I must say that I also enjoy reading books, reading and writing poetry, scrapbooking, soccer and science.
I am slightly OCD with things like post its, list making and scheduling. I hate being late, being kept waiting or people changing my plans. I am very driven to accomplish my goals especially that of becoming an MD, as I progressively become exposed to the field of medicine my passion for it grows.
The most important things in my life are my faith, my family, my boyfriend and my wonderful friends. The boyfriend is an aspiring computer engineer studying at RUM that I’ve been dating since we were sixteen. And my friends are crazy but loveable people I mostly met in high school with three treasures I met in college.
Simple quotes that I like to keep close at heart are: “People will tell you that you can’t, that doesn’t mean you have to listen” and “Learn how to see. Realize that everything connects to everything else”
And that is a little piece of me in three hundred words; not one more, not one less.
